5255 Programmable Cutter is fully automatic and equipped with electrically controlled adjustment mechanisms that ensure cutting to a precision of 1/100th of an inch. Stacks with cutting edges as big as 20 3/8” x 3” can be accommodated by the cutting panel, which is of great utility to professionals such as marketers, designers and engineers besides office workers. The 5255 features Easy Cut electronic blade activation bars that make the process quite convenient by reducing the whole process to a couple of presses of these bars, first to clamp the stack and then to cut it. The only manual operation required is the placing of the stack and closing the transparent safety cover, without which the machine would not work.

To aid in the perfect placing of the stack, a laser light along the blade’s path and a back gauge are built in MBM Programmable cutter’s design. The back gauge is given instruction using a numeric touch pad. Furthermore, this touch pad can also be used to program up to 99 custom cutting jobs, each of which can have 99 successive steps.
